Some time ago, we noticed we found ourselves hearing and saying the same phrase over and over...

"Why are we still doing it that way?"

We found when we talked to people in different fields, in different businesses, in careers from all walks of life, we kept hearing that phrase. People were using systems that were years, even decades old. Life carried on, and it seems their tech didn't. When people tried to work with each other and their systems, the complaints about sending information to another never ended.
Even then, after that, when that question was pointed at someone who knew, the answers were always the same...

"The time to change would be debilitating..."

And our favorite:
"That's just the way we do it."

(Actually, our favorite is "Because." That was it. No answer other than "Because." Brilliant.)

As we looked at these answers, we realized while certain factors play into the equation, and have to be considered within the game plan, more often then not, the fear of change is what drives a lot of hesitation. Instead of looking at the growth benefits, future agility and longer term savings different options offer, instead we are left with...
